What it means to be a Student Leader
At Tabernacle Youth, Student Leaders take youth to a whole new level. They set the pace for the rest of the students in the way they pursue Jesus and live their lives. Our Student Leadership team takes on various responsibilities on Sunday nights based on their gifting and abilities. Some examples of how our Student Leaders may lead are: welcoming students as they arrive for youth, sharing their faith story in front of the youth group, assisting in running games, praying for their peers and other youth students, serving on the worship and tech team, helping to lead small groups, planning outreach events, and more.
I have trusted in Jesus Christ alone to save me.
I am intentional about continuing to grow in my relationship with God.
I am a role model and a representative of Christ.
I have qualities of a leader and want to serve others.
I will attend church and youth group regularly.
I commit to grow in my relationship with Jesus by praying and reading my Bible daily.
I will be a positive example to other students and encourage them to grow in their relationship with God.
I commit to reach out to others at my school, in my neighborhood, and in my family.
I will attend monthly Student Leadership Meetings.*
*The SLT will meet about once-a-month on a Sunday after church. We will pick up lunch (on your own) and meet back at the church from about 12pm-2pm for training, prayer, and planning.
